Workshops at Eldon Garden Studio are proving a success, and they're FUN!! Laughs all round. Thanks to my afternoon group for allowing the photos. Tuesday Courses will continue to run 2 sessions 10.30-12.20 & 1.30 - 3.30. call for details and availability. We're having a bit of "A DO"! at Eldon Garden on 29th March 6-10pm. East Coast Art Clubhave booked me to do a series of four workshops with them between now and the end of April. They are looking for new members and meet in the Forum Gallery in Newbiggin on a Wednesday evenings. This is an active club and the weekly charge is only £2...so if you are looking for a club why not give it a try.

CAREERS IN ART FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITIES.Aberon have invited me to mentor/tutor their on-line Art & Creative subject Degrees for those with disabilities or permanent life changes due to illness/injury or mental health issues. They offer a FANTASTIC DEAL. All fees and equipment are funded, even the computer, printer etc and even internet connection...so if you know of anyone who would fit into this category and would like to do a degree from the comfort of home, give me a nudge and we'll talk it through.
Im taking a few days off from this weekend, (11th Feb) so my gallery will be open as normal but I wont be there...I can be found rutting about the woods and moorland in the Borders on a 5 day Pointer (dog) training course. pointing and flushing game birds..in a controlled manner (hopefully controlled) It will be a great opportunity to capture some amazing landscapes with my camera..maybe some inspiration for me. Not too worried about my dog..just hope the weather behaves itself. (Still have my email on for contacts).

Great Xmas Party for my regulars class groups. My old friend Charlie Evans.. oops! (old as in time rather than years lol!) led the "paint along" and was his usual entertaining self.Charlie has his own paint along on Dec 17th so if you want a fun painting night go along? Thanks Charlie! everyone enjoyed the fun and food and especially my ginger and apple punch..recipe...
Simply heat together Apple juice, Winter Pimms and Ginger wine, add mixed spice, cinnamon sticks, slices of ginger root, float a couple of apples stuffed with cloves.. add lemonade to dilute the booze..leave to mature..strain heat and serve..CHEERS!!!
